2015 Elk Cove Pinot Gris

Region:  Willamette Valley, Oregon

This wine has something for everyone.  For the wine nerds, it's incredibly nuanced.  At first, I tasted honeydew, lime and green apple on the palate.  On the second tasting in addition to the previous flavors I picked up, I was able to detect flavors of apricot and clover honey.  This is a beautiful, bright wine - crisp, clean, and acidic.  For those that just enjoy drinking good wine, this is extremely enjoyable and very easy to drink.  This is one of those wines that you can enjoy with friends and family, or alone (no judgment) and not even notice you've finished the bottle.  In other words, it's a 'patio pounder.'
